Record holders honoured at first Convocation at IBR office
The India Book of Records (IBR) honoured some of its exceptional stars at an elegant Convocation programme held at the IBR office premises in Faridabad on September 9, 2023. The 11 lucky participants were presented with a memento and sash by Mrs Neerja Roy Chowdhury, Managing Editor of the India Book of Records. The IBR stars received a warm welcome, exclusive photoshoot, and media spotlight, and they were also given an opportunity to showcase their talent live. Dr Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, Chief Editor of IBR presented Achiever’s Kits to two record holders. The next Convocation@IBRoffice will take place on October 14, 2023.
The IBR stars honoured at IBR office included Ms Vijata (Gurugram), Dr Ranjit Das (Haora, Rajasthan), Rajesh Kumar (Delhi), Dr Nitin Tupe (Pune), Aarav Samir Salve (Mumbai), Dimpal Roy (Nalbari, Assam), GK Dhinesh Kumar Gowri (Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu), Karthi Radhakrishnan (Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu), Julfina Ali (Kolkata), Kashinath S. (Kozhikode, Kerala), and Sanidhya Sharma (Gurugram).
Vijata (41) set the record for being in the Padma Bakasana Yoga (Crane Lotus) pose for the longest duration (2 minutes and 30 seconds). Dr Ranjit Das (59) set the record for receiving 23, the maximum number of educational degrees, including three Bachelor's Degrees, BEd, 13 Master's Degrees, 3 PG Diplomas, one PG Certification, MPhil and PhD. The record for making the maximum number of paintings of Lord Ganesha using different mediums was set by Rajesh Kumar (54), who made 719 paintings using 71 mediums.
First Step to Career founder Dr Nitin Tupe (48), was appreciated for developing a Career Simulator system. Aarav Samir Salve (10) was appreciated for being certified as a Junior Open Water Scuba Diver by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). He completed 7 dives in 244 minutes within 3 days at Borneo Divers and Sea Sports, Sabah (Malaysia). Dimpal Roy (28) was appreciated for authoring ‘Beyond You’, published by Notion Press. The book gives an insight on how to change one’s habits, behaviour and become a better version of oneself.
The record for covering the maximum distance in a car across South Africa in 24 hours was set by GK Dhinesh Kumar (26). He started from Aggeneys on August 18 and reached Albertinia the next day, covering 2154 km. Nanmadhi Film House Pvt Ltd was appreciated for producing a feature film titled Aagaasathin Utharavu, directed by Karthi Radhakrishnan. It was shot in real time single take with a single character. Julfina Ali (11) was appreciated for writing a book of 34 poems.
Kashinath S was appreciated for recalling the names of 8 professionals, 7 continents, 14 districts of Kerala, 7 neighbouring countries, capitals of 28 Indian states, 5 vegetables; 14 animals, 9 body parts, 9 colours, 5 fruits, 12 shapes, 14 PMs and 12 CMs of Kerala, at the age of 5 years and 3 months. The record for playing the maximum number of musical instruments was set by Sanidhya Sharma, who played 25 instruments including Sitar, Drums, Tabla, Pakhawaj, Clap Box, Dholak, Harmonium, Congo, Guitar, Keyboard, Piano, Mouth Organ, Kanjira, Tumbi, Kalimba, Bongo and others in 30 minutes at the age of 15 years and 6 months.
