REC will help in the education of children in Siddharthnagar, UP
REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power and a leading Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) has partnered with Unit for Science and Educational Development (UNISED) to support the education of approximately 75,500 children of Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Has partnered with. REC has entered into this partnership through its corporate social responsibility arm REC Foundation. REC has committed to provide financial assistance of Rs 9.91 crore for this wonderful work.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) was signed between REC Foundation and UNISED during a ceremony held in New Delhi. The agreement was finalized by Mr. Bhupesh Chandolia, CSR Head, REC Foundation and Mrs. Rashmi Kumari, Assistant Program Director, UNISED. This agreement helps UNISED strengthen its commitment to improving educational opportunities for disadvantaged children.
UNISED, which has a presence across the country, has said it is dedicated to revolutionizing the education sector through innovative learning systems. As part of this collaboration, UNISED will operate solar powered smart classrooms in government schools in Siddharthnagar district. Also, Joyful Learning will set up resource laboratories. The initiative aims to provide students with access to modern educational tools and resources, empowering them to excel academically and creatively.
Recently REC Foundation has shown its unwavering support for the education of 12,500 children of ex-servicemen by contributing Rs 15 crore to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
