AYUSH-ICMR Center for Integrated Health Research launched at AIIMS

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said during the joint mega event organized by AYUSH and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that the time has come for integrated medicine. He said that traditional healthcare will be a new fashion trend in the coming future. The Union Minister also congratulated the Ministry of AYUSH for its remarkable journey in the last decade and said that the Ministry of AYUSH and Health and Family Welfare are integrated.

At today's joint mega event, he announced the setting up of AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Center for Integrative Health Research (AI-ACIHR) in select AIIMS across the country and multicentre clinical trial on anaemia. The inaugural session also saw the launch of “Indian Public Health Standards for AYUSH Health Care Facilities” and the 27th Convocation and 29th National Seminar of the National School of Ayurveda ‘Ayurveda Amritanam’.

During his speech, he said that collaborative research in AYUSH is very important as it bridges the gap between traditional knowledge and modern scientific research and promotes a collaborative approach to health care. The strategic collaboration between AYUSH and ICMR aims to advance integrative health research, integrate traditional AYUSH practices with modern medical science and take India to the forefront of holistic health care innovations. He said that Ayurveda is a part of our culture, heritage and tradition. It is being adopted in our daily behavior even today.
