Remotely inaugurated 51 rooftop solar power plants of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) from Ranchi

On October 4, 2024, Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, inaugurated 51 rooftop solar power plants operated by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). This significant event was conducted virtually from Ranchi as part of the Special Campaign 4.0 aiming to enhance sustainable energy initiatives and reduce carbon emissions.

During the inauguration, Minister Dubey praised BCCL’s initiative, highlighting the efficient use of unused building spaces for solar installations. He referred to this project as a commendable step towards achieving a greener and self-reliant India.

The inauguration marks a pivotal step in BCCL’s journey towards a greener future, aligning with India’s broader goals under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which emphasizes developing self-sufficiency in energy production while also addressing environmental concerns.
