Child Help Foundation Spreads Joy and Awareness on Children’s Day 2024

 

Child Help Foundation (CHF), a Pan-India non-profit child-centric organisation, celebrated Children’s Day pan India through a series of events. There were many interesting activities conducted by the volunteers such as teaching the social code of conduct etc.

 

Child Help Foundation has worked in the interest of the children especially the underprivileged since its inception and has taken many initiatives to provide them with good education, good health and a hygienic environment for their mental & physical development. On the occasion of Children’s Day, the NGO conducted many interesting activities in various cities of the country. In Odisha, the volunteers distributed snacks and stationery kits to children and hosted a ration kit distribution drive at Ashraya, that included essential groceries like vegetables, pulses etc.

 

Speaking on the occasion of Children's Day celebrations, Shaji Varghese, CEO of Child Help Foundation, said,“Children are the foundation of a strong nation and Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14th November on the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru is a reminder of the joy, innocence, and boundless potential that children bring into our lives.  Child Help Foundation which is a child-centric NGO always drive its actions and initiatives to make this foundation stronger. CHF always strives to create opportunities for all children to learn and grow. We thank our volunteers, donors, and partners who made this year’s celebrations truly special and request everyone to keep supporting us so we can deliver better results.”

 

 

NGO organized events on the occasion and distributed doughnuts that brought smiles to these children in the slums of Delhi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Volunteers also brought joy through doughnut distributions in Pune, Maharashtra, and Disha Karnabaddhir Vidyalaya, a school for deaf children and street children. In Faridabad and Rewari, Haryana, the volunteers of CHF with the help of the teachers organized different competitions for slum children and awarded winners along with distribution of sweets, stationary kits and snacks.

 

Child Help Foundation volunteers at ZP School Gokhivare, Vasai, Maharashtra, conducted a session on “Good Touch-Bad Touch” and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for 130 students. Volunteers ensured that the students understood the concepts, empowering them to recognise and respond to inappropriate behaviour.  At Murbad Ashram School in Palghar, Maharashtra, Children’s Day began with a drawing competition, followed by activities like thumb painting and relay games. Winners were honoured with trophies and certificates that motivated the children. In Mumbai CHF volunteers visited Arogya Sadan, distributing drawing kits and snacks to children and their parents, fostering creativity and joy.

 

 

Child Help Foundation would like to thank all the donors, staff members, volunteers and corporate sponsors for helping with the Children’s Day celebrations.
