ICF Chennai to Develop Hyperloop Electronics
The Hyperloop test facility at IIT Madras features a 410-meter-long test tube, the longest in Asia, developed using indigenous technologies. The Minister expressed confidence in India’s readiness for Hyperloop transportation, citing promising test results. He also highlighted the role of ICF’s skilled experts, who have previously developed large electronic systems for Vande Bharat high-speed trains, in advancing the Hyperloop project’s electronics technology.
The Railway Ministry has provided financial funding and technical assistance to the Hyperloop project. Additionally, the Minister noted that India currently operates five semiconductor facilities, with the first domestically produced semiconductor expected by the end of this year.
These initiatives underscore India’s commitment to advancing transportation technology and self-reliance in critical technological sectors.
