Big Infrastructure Push: ₹4,570-Crore Projects Launched in Kokrajhar
The projects cover key sectors including road infrastructure, rail connectivity, education, healthcare and urban development. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to the holistic development of the Northeast region, emphasizing that improved infrastructure and welfare schemes will accelerate growth and improve the quality of life for people in the region.
He also noted that the projects would contribute to employment generation, tourism development and better connectivity, strengthening Assam’s role in India’s growth story. The Prime Minister reiterated that the Centre remains dedicated to transforming the Northeast into a gateway for trade and development.
