Indian Railways has added 219 more services for this festive season compared to last year

In this festive season of Holi, 540 train services are being operated by Indian Railways for the convenience of railway passengers and to manage the extra rush of passengers. These trains run between Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur, Durg. -Plans have been made to connect major destinations across the country on railway routes like Patna, Barauni-Surat etc.

Crowd control measures are being ensured by forming queues under the supervision of Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff at terminus stations for orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches. Additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations to ensure the safety of passengers. Officers have been deployed on emergency duty at major stations to ensure smooth operation of trains. Staff have been deployed in various sections to remove any disruption in train service on priority basis.

Measures have been taken to ensure consistent and timely announcement of arrival/departure of trains along with platform numbers.
