Air Marshal Tejinder Singh takes over as DCAS of the Air Force

Air Marshal Tejinder Singh took over as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (DCAS) of the Indian Air Force at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan) today. After assuming charge of his new appointment, the Air Marshal paid homage to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Air Marshal Tejinder was commissioned into the fighter stream of the IAF on 13 June 1987. He is a Category 'A' qualified Flying Instructor with over 4500 hours of flying experience and is an alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College. He has commanded a fighter squadron, a radar station, a major fighter base and was Air Officer Commanding Jammu and Kashmir.

His various staff appointments include Operational Staff at Command Headquarters, Air Commodore (Personnel Officer-1) at Air Headquarters, Deputy Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Financial (Planning) at HQ IDS, Air Commodore (Aerospace Security), Air Staff Operations (Offensive) & ACAS Operations (Strategy) at Air Headquarters. Prior to his current appointment, he was Senior Air Staff Officer at Headquarters Eastern Air Command of IAF, Shillong, Meghalaya.

In recognition of his commendable services, he was awarded the Vayu Sena Medal in 2007 and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2022 by His Excellency the President.
